went the distance striking out four
batters and walking three allowing
only five hits. Spurred on by a
strong defence, the Exeter bats
were working well with some well
executed bunts backed up with
good base running.

Schade hit two singles while Tre-
vor Taylor, Jason Maskell, Dale
Hopf, James Rolph, Joe Maskell
and Darren Knits added singles.
Exeter lost to Owen sound 13-4
on July 29. Dwayne McNab

hard hitting team. He had six strike
outs but Owen Sound chalked up
seven runs in the second inning.

nis McCann and Scot Kemp on the

tage of the undisciplined Port Elgin
team early in the game recording an

Imperials
wrap up
regular
season
EXETER - The Ontario Junior
Men's Fastball League season has
been completed with the Exeter
Chrysler Imperials finishing in sev-
enth place overall. The Imperials
will now compete for the "B" divi-
sion championship.
Considering the relatively young
age of the team, with eight player
still eligible to play midget, and
with no players in their last year of
junior eligibility, the season was a
success.
The Imperials will head into the
playoffs where they will tangle
with Mitchell in a best of five
League semi-final series. A home
game is scheduled at the Rec Cen-
tre for August 3, at 9:00 pm.
