The 1995 Ortho -McNeil Inc. Graduate Scholarship winner
is Terry Humphreys of Exeter, who was presented with the
$2500 scholarship recently by Percy Skuy, president of Or-
tho -McNeil Inc. The scholarship is presented annually to a
graduate student conducting thesis research in human sex-
uality/family planning in the Department of Family Studies
at the University of Guelph. Humphreys' research looks at
gender differences in the perception of date rape. He is
also a volunteer with the John Howard Society of Waterloo
Wellington, as a counsellor with men who have been physi-
cally abusive to their partners.

planned for July 26 at Shipka Com-
munity Centre. Tickets are availa-
ble from any member.
Personals
Don and Elizabeth Adams have
returned home after a three week
tour of Quebec, Gasp Peninsula,
Prince Edward Island, New Bruns-
wick and Nova Scotia.
Joe Kaak Jr., son of Joe and
Diane Kaak, and Lucia, daughter of
Bernard and Elly Verhoeven, were
married July 8 at All Saints
Church, Strathroy.
Annie Zielman and members of
her family attended the Janzen fam-
ily picnic reunion on Sunday, July
9, at Springbank-Park, with approx-
inately 40 people attending. Special
guests were Annie's brother and
sister-in-law Peter and Margaret
Janzen, from Winnipeg. Other rela-
tives came from Mt. Forest, Leam-
ington, Essex, London, Zurich and
Dashwood.
This family do not have orga-
nized sports, but enjoy visiting and
the viewing the park flowers, trees
and amusements.
Fermon and Leota Snyder visited
recently with Leota's brother, Ar-
mand and Merle Musselman, at
New Dundee.
The Pickering family held their
annual reunion picnic, Sunday,
July 9 at Shipka Community Cen-
tre with about 70 in attendance.
Their president is Eva Taylor. Nan-
cy Regier and Jane Kerslake were
the sports committed: Relative. at-
tended from London, Forest, Zu-
rich, Sarnia and Arva. Stan Picker-
ing, of London, was home Ii+r the
weekend with his parents Ross and
Evelyn and attended the picnic.
Around 60 attended the Russell
reunion held at Corbett Community
Centre, July 9, coming from De-
troit, Essex, La Salle, Woodslee,
Grand Bend, Dashwood, Shipka
and Strathroy. A barbecue dinner
was held at 1 p.m. Tom and Rose-
anne Russell were in charge of
sports with games for children and
some interesting adult games, toss-
ing water -filled balloons on bath
towels, and an obstacle game carry-
ing filled -water glasses on a tray.
Next years picnic will be held in
Leamington with Greg Russell's
family in charge.
