eousness. The hymns, "For the
beauty of the earth" and "0 wor-
ship the King", were sung accom-
panied at piano by Irene Kennedy.
Maxine Hart gave a report on her
attendance at Westminster week-
end in London June 2,3 and 4.
Guest speaker at three sessions was
the Very Rev. Lois Wilson. The
theme this year was "Give us this
day our daily bread." Maxine's sis-
ter, Mary Whitlock provided a sto-
ry, "Mary, Miriam and 1." London
Conference is the only area who
offer the advantages of Westmin-
ster weekend.
Hilda White gave a humorous
reading, "For all these born before
1945." The advice in Proverbs 16
verse 32 was acted out in a skit by
Berrie Keye and Doris Bestard ti-
tled, "A journey home."
Roll call was answered by bring-
ing in sympathy or get well cards
for the convener.
President Loreen Gill, chaired
the business, with plans for a light
lunch after the outdoor summer
services and the bake, craft and
produce sale coming up August 2.
Happy birthday was sung for
Bertie Keyes. Hazel Broad and Iva
Latta served lunch. Meeting closed
by all repeating the UCW benedic-
tion.
Golden Agers
Grand Bend Golden Agers held
their last euchre of the 199495
season, last Wednesday night June
14 at the Legion Hall. Winners
were: ladies high score, Mabel
Fraser, Shipka, ladies most lone
hands, Cathy Junker, ladies low
score, Annie Morenz, Shipka.
Mens high score won by Betty
Haist playing a mans card, mens
most tone hands, Ev Richardson,
mens low score, Hugh Morenz.
The euchre will begin again in the
fall.
A bus Toad of Seniors from
Grand Bend, Dashwood and Thed-
ford, travelled to Hamilton last
Wednesday to see the Geritol Fol-
lies show. All enjoyed the great
show, beautiful weather and a fab-
ulous supper. Bus driver was Peter
McNaughton.
Commitment to service
EXETER - Peter Raymond, Don Mousseau, Bob Dinney and Glenn
Kelis of the Exeter Lions Club have been named Melvin Jones Fellows
by Lions Clubs International Foundation, in recognition of their com-
mitment to serving the world community.
Named for the founder of Lions Clubs International, Melvin Jones,
the fellowship is the foundation's highest honor. It is a recognition of a
commitment to humanitarian service.
Raymond, Mousseau, Dinney and Kells are all members of the Exet-
er Lions Club, District A-15. They were presented with a finely crafted
plaque and lapel pin, acknowledging their dedication to the founda-
tion's humanitarian goals. As a Melvin Jones Fellow, they become a
part of a growing network of individuals who are'committed to im-
proving the quality of life for people, locally and in communities
around the world.
Lions Clubs International is a world's largest service club organiza-
tion numbering more than 1.4 million members. As the charitable arm
of the association, Lions Clubs International Foundation acts as stew-
ard of the financial resources that are distributed for humanitarian
causes.

All four Lions members have held the office of president as
well as many other club and district positions. Collectively,
