Volunteers thanked
"We would like to invite all E.P.S.
volunteers to a Volunteer
Appreciation Tea..."
Dear Editor:
The staff and students of Exeter Public School
would publicly like to recognize and thank the
many volunteers who helped our school in numer-
ous ways throughout the 1994-95 school year. With-
out the help of many dedicated, hard working, con-
cerned and caring individuals, many of our
programs could not operate. We greatly appreciate:
the Parents' Association who have been very dedi-
cated in their fund raising and positive involvement
in school activities; the classroom reps for the P.A.
who contacted volunteers for cupcake making; the
volunteers who made cupcakes for pizza days; the
Pizza Day helpers for the portable classrooms; those
who helped out faithfully with the Safe Arrival pro-
gram; the many volunteers for special activities
such as food booths and the Meet the Teacher
event; the dedicated volunteers who helped out
weekly in the classrooms; the Peer Tutors from the
High School who worked faithfully with many stu-
dents; the two Dental Hygienists who honoured us
every two weeks with their friendly smiles and
"Swish"; the Pediculosis Team who willingly ap-
proached a very difficult task; the many volunteers
who helped supervise students on trips; the judges
of the Public Speaking and Air Band events; the
many community volunteers who shared their ex-
pertise, knowledge and resources; those who made
scarves for our choir; Ken Ogden, who faithfully ar-
ranged for buses all year; anyone else who helped in
any way to make our year successful.
We would like to invite all E.P.S. volunteers to a
"Volunteer Appreciation Tea", June 21, from 2:30
to 3:30 in our gymnasium, to further show our ap-
preciation. We hope all of our volunteers will drop
in so we can show our thanks for all they have done.
Sincerely,
Exeter Public School

CENTRALIA - Summer's here,
and it's time for picnics and family
reunions. On Saturday, the Heaman
Reunion was held at the Centralia
Community Centre and park. It was
a nice day for being outside, even
though the weather prediction in-
cluded rain. Take some time to go
for a walk through the village, and
visit with the neighbours.
Sunday, June 11, Trinity Sunday
was celebrated during the Zion
Sunday School Anniversary. Jeff
Bettridge, the guest speaker, has an
interesting background. After grad-
uating from St. Marys High
School, he attended London Bap-
tist Bible College and received a
Bachelor's Degree in Religious Ed-
ucation. Although currently em-
ployed at Booth House Correction-
al Centre, Bettridge plans to move
to Manitoba in the fall to work to-
wards his Masters degree. His par-
ticipation in the Sunday School
Anniversary was appreciated.
A reminder to the Official Board
