rie Marquardt and Michael
Lee Wilson 11 were united in
marriage at Bayfield Baptist
Church with Reverend
Charles Henderson officiat-
ing. Joanne is the daughter of
Emerson and Lillian Johns of
Exeter. Michael is the son of
Michael Wilson, Illinois and
Patricia Talley, South Caroli-
na. The matron of honour
was Janet Harper, sister of
the bride. The bridesmaid
was Heather Scott, friend of
the bride and groom. The
groomsman was Jim Harper,
brother-in-law of the bride.
The ushers were David Mar-
quardt, brother of the bride
and Rudy Marquardt, uncle of
the bride. Soloist was Chris
Caldwell and organist was
Marjorie Johns. The dinner
and reception were held at
Exeter Lions Youth Centre.
The newlyweds honeymooned
in Bahamas and will be resid-
ing in Port Charlotte, Florida.
A special thanks to family
and friends for making our
day perfect.
1st Anniversary
On June 11th, 1994 Holy
Name of Mary Church, St.
Marys was the setting for the
marriage of Donna Kathleen
Teahen, the daughter of Gerry
and Roberta Teahen of St.
Marys and Fredrick George
Gregus, the son of August
and Geraldine Gregus of Exet-
er. A friend of the couple, Fa-
ther Richard Boerkamp of St.
Justin's Parish In London offi-
ciated. The maid of honour
was Shona McMullan, friend
of the bride. The best man
was Jim Gregus, brother of
the groom. Bridesmaids were
Diana Geary, cousin of the
bride, Paula Wilkinson, Diane
Kanalec and Heidi Morchain,
friends of the bride. Ushers
were Brad Gregus, brother of
the groom, John Teahen,
brother of the bride, Paul
Gladding and Rob Russell,
friends of the groom. Humour
and joy were added to the cel-
ebration by flowergirls Kaley
McClure and Sandra Gregus
and ringbearers Scott and
Steven Gregus, nieces and
nephews of the groom. Read-
ings

the bride and groom Susanne
Torbet and Glenn Dunselth
enhanced the celebration. A
Victorian Country Reception
followed at the St. Marys
Community Centre where
Tom Teahen was a gracious
and humorous Master of Cer-
emonies. The couple honey-
mooned In Jamaica and now
reside in Exeter. Fred and
Donna would like to thank
their parents, families and
friends for all their hard work,
love and support.

early birthday cake
and the singing of Hap-
py Birthday.

SAINTSBURY - St. Patrick's
A.C.W. held their June meeting at
the Parish hall on Tuesday, June 6
with 9 members present. The meet-
ing opened with the hymn "They
who tread the path of labour follow
where my feet have trod", followed
by Members Prayer and General
Thanksgiving in unison. Prayers for
Sunday School led by Suzanne Da-
vis, sick members remembering
Dorothy Dietrich and Eileen Car-
roll led by Betty Johnson, Mission-
aries remembering Prayer Partner
Rev. Simon Beaver Jr., led by Ma-
bel Needham, Extension of the
church led by Mary Davis. Scrip-
ture readings Acts 2:1-11, John
20:19-23 read by Margaret Carroll,
meditation led by Mary Davis
"Faith is when you trust God, even
when you don't know what is com-
ing."Business followed and the
packing of the bale for our Prayer
Partner in Northern Ontario, barbe-
cue and pool party at the Davis's in
July, date to be set closer to the
time. The meeting closed with the
hymn "Breath on me Breath of
God" and closing prayer led by Vi-
ola Atkinson. A social time fol-
lowed with a surprise early birth-
day cake and the singing of Happy
Birthday honouring Mary Davis
who will celebrate on Tuesday,
June 13.
Sunday June 11, St. Patrick's cel-
ebrated their Holy Communion
Service at 11:00 a.m. with Rev.
Stan Jay as the celebrant for Trinity
Sunday. The service opened with
the processional hymn "Holy,
Holy, Holy, Lord".
For the children's focus Rev. Jay
talked about Saint Patrick preach-
ing to the people in Ireland about
God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit -
3 in one explaining the Shamrock
with its three leaves on one stem
makes a good Trinity symbol as
God is one God and not three.
Following the focus the Sunday
School children sang the children's
hymn "Jesus Loves Me" before go-
ing to the their classes.
Courtney MacGillivray and Crys-
tal Davis were servers for the ser-
vice.
There will be no service at St.
Patrick's next Sunday, one service
only at St. Thomas, Granton at
4:30 p.m.; June 25 St. Patrick's ser-
vice at 11:00 a.m.

Davis from St. Patrick's attended
the 80th Birthday party in Lucan
on Saturday honouring cousin Gre-
ta Gibson. Best wishes Greta from
all the Hodgins relatives.
Sunday Mary Davis accompa-
nied Hugh and Hazel to a surprise
birthday party for cousin Catherine
Elston of Exeter. Bob and Alexia
Tindall of Saintsbury were guests
also.
The Davis'»attended the Ontario
Road Supt. Trade Show at Simcoe
this weekend and enjoyed the en-
tertainment including the fabulous
Paul Brothers and Shirley on
Wednesday evening.
Congratulations to Harley Davis,
a 5th place trophy winner on the
weekend at Silvarole's MX Park in
mini 60 cc at Batavia, New York
State.
Dashwood WI June meeting
DASHWOOD - The members
met for the June meeting at the
Lutheran Church cemetery to lo-
cate names, dates and crayon rub-
bings.
The rest of the meeting was
held at the Community Centre.
The "roll call" was answered with
an inscription' on a tombstone.
During the business the mem-
bers were reminded of Marg Har-
ris's honour as the new F.W.I.O.
president; District Picnic at Credi-
ton Park August 8, the Curator's
Workshop at Holmesvitle and the
Exeter Fair W.I. display.
The program consisted of the
Almanac's favourite Tombstone
verses, composing a list of obitu-
ary words and a display of crayon
rubbings.
Members found the picnic style
games amusing, especially the an-
imal bingo and the longest line of
wearing apparel.
Each member brought her own
brown bag lunch. Martha Wei-
gand's was chosen as best deco-
rated. Contests and hot tea added
to the social time.
