ing wishes to children be-
tween the ages of three

life-threatening illness.
Louise's Unique Interiors, Rain -
tree Design and Dinney Furniture,
all based in Exeter are working
alongside 13 other designers and
landscapers in sending visitors
home with '1001 innovative design
ideas' which are applicable in the
average home.
said Jackson.
Louise Merner of Louise's Inter-
iors has designed original wall fin-
ishes including stencils and sponge
painting. The foyer and hallway of
the house were painted by Merner
who brought a little of the outdoors
inside. This theme was continued
in the central bath-
room which
creates the feeling
of a starry night.
Campbell tartan
is used throughout
the elegant guest
bedroom designed
by Tim St. Louis
and Mary Lou
Hyde of Raintree Design, Exeter.
A similar plaid is also used in the
decorative wall painting outside the
bedroom which creates a flow from
the hall into the guest room. A
Scottish theme, complete with sil-
ver tea service and embroidered pil-

for a queen or king. The hand cro-
cheted sheets and pillowcases were
made by Melba and Abner Tuckers
of Exeter.
Jackie Rowe and Jon Dinney
have designed a cosy living space
with a floral sofa and warm car-
amel walls. The dining area is also
compliments of Dinney Furniture
in Exeter. Upholstered head chairs
and a unique window treatment
make this area both comfortable
and luxurious.
Over 400 volunteers are par-
ticipating in the community event
which runs in Grand Bend from
May 26 until June 11. "One En-
chanted Evening", is a romantic
pre -opening party for three hundred
guests which will launch the show
on Friday May 26. House tours
will be available from a number of
retailers in the Bluewater Region
including Toronto -Dominion Bands
and the Make -A -Wish office in
London.

That tingling feeling you get when you hit your
elbow a certain way is due to an electrical im-
pulse originating in the ulnar nerve which runs
down the whole arm. This nerve isn't too well
protected so can be stimulated from the out-
side. The elbow is sometimes called the "fun-
ny bone" for that reason.
Hearing is a very important sense. Many people use disc and
tape players with earphones for personal listening. Often, the vol-
ume is simply too high and can result in hearing loss over time.
A good rule to follow: if othet5 can hear it, it's too loud.
The hayfever season is upon us. if you suffer from this allergic
reaction brought by air -born pollen here are a few ideas to re-
duce the discomfort:
1) Avoid pollen exposure by having someone else mow your
lawn. If you can't avoid it, use a good fibre painter's mask. 2) Do
your gardening in the early morning when there is less wind and
more moisture in the air. 3) Dry your laundry indoors to reduce
its exposure to air -born pollen. 4) Shower every night to clean
the pollen out of your hair. 5) Use a suitable antihistamine medi-
cation.
