A total come -from -behind five game team effort by b'rich featured Gary Huston's 1,324, Luke Mommersteeg's 1,221, Tony Bedard's 1,053, Ted Stanlake's 1,036 and Doug Smith's 1,033 pinfalls. Included in Huston's leading score was a 412 sin- gle compiled by rolling 11 consecutive strikes fol= lowing a first frame seven score Don Kirk had his turn off for the day but played an important part ear- lier in the playoffs. O.M.B.A. provincial shootout Zurich 5 Pin Bowlers' Association's Rosemary Rader and Bluewater Master Bowler Bev Cregan fin- ished thirty -fust in a field of 200 teams in the five game, pins over average, $34,000 Ontario master Bowlers' Association (O.M.BA.), Provincial Shoot- out Saturday at Hamilton. Rader and Master Bowler Cregan scored respec- tive plus 63 and plus 61 pins for a team total of 124 pins over their combined averages but missed the prize money in the top ten positions which featured $20,000 to the champion O.M.B.A. team. Zurich Association's second representative from Hensall, Norm Corkin and Bluewater Association Master Bowler Mike Cregan finished well down in the final standings. DORCHESTER - The Exeter Fury lost 1-0 to Dorchester Satur- day. Both teams seemed evenly matched with scoring opportunities arising for both sides. Fury's Tom Westerveld came close to scoring when he shot one up over the bar from in close. A couple of minutes later Exeter failed to capitalize on a wild scram- ble in front of the Dorchester net having five shots turned away by the Dorchester defensmen. The home team scored late in the half on a screen shot that eluded goaltender Jason Murray. Exeter pressed hard to even the score with Dan Martens getting a blistering shot away from the inside box only to be stone -walled by the Dorchester goalie.
