With the alarming number of children abducted everyday, Child Find provides an effective iden- tification service to help find a child that has been lost. On Saturday, Huron County Child Find and the Exeter OPP held an identification session called "Kid Check" in the old OPP station, where 50 children were finger printed. Parents were also given the form with the prints to fill out all the relevant data about the child. A current photo of the child's face is also to be attached to the form. The record is kept by the parents, ,and used if an emergency arises. "If something happens to the child, they have it right there handy," says Marg Dale, a vol- unteer with Child Find. Child Find recommends re -doing the prints and updating the photo every year and a half, when the child is small. "They get cuts on their fingers, and things can change," says Dale. Children as young as newborns can be printed. They often have their footprints done. The Kid Check service will be provided again on Saturday, May '13 in Goderich at the local Legion hall.
