Humane
Society will
hold clinic
LONDON - The London Hu-
mane Society's annual rabies vac-
cination clinic is on again, in coop-
eration with the Middlesex -
London Health Unit.
In Ontario, all dogs and cats
must be vaccinated annually
against rabies and the Humane So-
ciety's low-cost clinic enables
many pet owners to abide by the
law and protect their pet and their
families.
The clinic will be held on Sun-
day, May 7, from 10 a.m. to 5
p.m., at Clarke Sideroad, just south
of Oxford Street at a cost of $10.
per pet.
All dogs and cats four month
and older must be vaccinated
against rabies - it's the law! The
maximum fine is $5,000.
Only rabies vaccinations will be
given by the Humane Society's
veterinarian - no other vaccina-
tions are available at the clinic.
Proceeds from the clinic go to
the London Humane Society, to
assist in caring for unwanted, ne-
glected and abused animals.

4-H meeting

ZURICH- The 4H meeting was
on April 3. The pledge was repeat-
ed and then a talk about achieve-
ment day. An achievement day is
where the members show their
parcnts what they have learned and
made, also a plaque to say what
project is completed. This will be
in May.
The next meeting will be at Syl-
via Neebs home at 7 p.m. There
are nine girls and our club plus
two leaders.

TAKE NOTICE THAT in accordance with paragraph 210 (111) of the
Municipal Act R.S.O. 1990, the Corporation of the Township of
McGillivray has enacted a by-law to name the. roads in the
municipality.
The Council of the Township of McGillivray held a public meeting
on January 26, 1995, to hear in person or by counsel or agent, any
person who claimed to be adversely affected by the proposed name
changes.
The following road names are in accordance with the County of
Middlesex Municipal Addressing Program Guidelines to prepare for
the implementation of the Enhanced 9-1-1 System in 1996.

Girl Guides to sell cookies in Zurich

ZURICH - Members of the Men-
nonite church enjoyed an Easter
Brunch in the fellowship hall on
Sunday following their morning
service.
The congregation of St. Peter's
Lutheran Church attended an Easter
Sunday Sunrise service at 7 a.m.
CWL
The C.W.L. meeting of St. Pe-
ter's Parish, St. Joseph, was held in
the hall on April 12. Members got
their quilt tickets ready for the bean
festival. They are also planning to
celebrate their 45th anniversary on
Sunday, April 30 with a brunch at
Erb's Country Kitchen in Zurich.
Tickets are now available at $12
per person. For more information
phone president Harriette Vander-
burgt at 236-4025. Tickets will also
be available at Masses this week-
end.
St. Boniface C.W.L. meeting was
held on April 18 following Mass
for vocations. Four resolutions
were studied and voted on, so that
president Mary Regier and first
vice Joan Regier can be ready to go
to the convention in Sarnia on April
25 and 26.
Brownies
The Zurich Brownies will be go-
ing around door-to-door selling
Girl Guide Cookies in the village
on Tuesday night, April 25, from 6
to 8 p.m. They will cost $3.00 per
box of 50.
Girl's Club
The Girl's Club made a trip to
Huron Ridge Acres greenhouse last
Thursday night and enjoyed being
able to make their own plant ar-
rangement, which they took home
afterwards.
The girls and leaders are now
getting ready to go on a retreat at
Camp Glenhuron, north of Bay-
field this coming Friday and Satur-
day.
Easter egg hunt
Several children had fun at the
Easter Egg Hunt at the arena play-
ground on Saturday morning as
they found hidden tokens that were
surged in for chocolate bunnies.
The Optimist Club hosted this
annual event.
Senior Diners
Sixty Zurich Senior Diners en-
joyed an Easter ham dinner April
12 at the Community Centre,
which was decorated in a yellow
and mauve Easter theme. The ta-
bles were centred with vases of
daffodils.
Faye Skinner welcomed all din-
ers. Biddy Cammick, Grand Bend,
was the 50/50 winner. Gertie Fleis-
chauer read a poem, 'Easter Good-
ies'. Cyril Gingerich, guest speak-
er, used Joy! as the main idea of
his Easter message, giving various
examples of the topic.
4-H club
The Zurich 4-H, club opened their
April 10 meeting with the 4-H
pledge. They talked about judging
and then had a test on the subject.
The leader gave the group four
seams and they had to judge the
worst and the best. Then they had a
snack of kool-aid and muffins.
Their next meeting will be held
Monday, April 24 at Sylvia Neeb's
home at 7:00 p.m.
Personals
Earl and Anne Flaxbard had their
annual Easter egg hunt outdoors
for their grandchildren.
The families of Clare and Lucille
Masse got together at their house
on Sunday.
Mary -Lou Denomme's family
also got together on Sunday.
Two candidates were received
into the church by Fr. Wronski at
the Easter Vigil Mass on Saturday
evening, Rhonda Wright and Rod-
ger Finkbeiner.
Happy 90th birthday wishes are
extended to Emma Schilbe on East-
er Sunday. An open house was
held in her honour at St. Peter's fel-
lowship hall with over 100 rela-
tives attending. A family dinner
was enjoyed by Richard Erb's Ca-
tering.
Esther Steckle from Cleveland,
Ohio spent several days with her
mother Seleda Steckle at the Blue
Water Rest Home Apartments re-
cently.
