Junior Girls win 'A' trophy STRATHROY - The Stephen Township Junior Girls defeated Parkhill 6-2 to win the 'A' trophy in a tournament held in Strathroy on March 25. Their first game saw them oust the London Devilettes in a tight snatch 7-5, but the second game was won hands down beating Stratford 7-1. The girl's win over Stratford earned them a berth in .the 'A' final where they faced - off against Parkhill. Throughout the season, the Stephen team had been unable to contain the Parkhill squad losing to them in every encounter. However, some persistent hard work and solid goaltending con- tributed to the upset over Park- hill bringing the 'A' cup to the Stephen Township arena. This was an amazing feat con- sidering the girls team is still new and have only been with the league for two years.
