Lions promote
Easter Seals
EXETER - The Exeter Lions
Club has announced the start of
the 1995 Easter Seals Campaign.
Again, the Lions Club will be so-
liciting donations through a "mail
in" program, proceeds of which
are dedicated for local area chal-
lenged youth.
Area residents will soon be re-
ceiving, through the mail, their
Easter Seals envelopes. Easter Seal
Chairman, Laverne Hamilton, re-
minds all donors that although
mailings are directed from Toronto
and returned to Toronto, proceeds
are monitored and returned to the
area to meet local area needs.
"Easter Seal donations collected
through the Lions club have assist-
ed several challenged youths in the
area to live a satisfying life at
home" says Laverne. "The costs
associated with the requirements
have continually increased, how-
ever, donations have not. Lately
we have not received sufficient do-
nations to cover our needs," La-
verne says.
The Lions Club urges everyonq
receiving an Baster Seals envelope
to try to give something, no matter
how little. All donations of $10.00
or more will be issued a receipt for
tax purposes.

Faith Tabernacle S.S.
holds 'movie night
CENTRALIA - Although schools were closed on Friday, the evening
turrrd calm and the blue bus from Centralia Faith Tabernacle made its
way through Huron Park for the Sunday School's movie night. Partici-
pants enjoyed the movie and the refreshments which followed.
A group of 11 men and youth accepted a challenge from Faith Taberna-
cle London to a game of street hockey in the parking lot at London Faith
on Saturday. London was the first on the scoreboard but Centralia took the
lead shortly after and held onto their lead and won 7-6.
The Quiz Team, the Faithwalker, will be back in action again on Satur-
day night at Youth for Christ. The drama group "For Crying Out Loud"
will be performing. All youth are encouraged to attend. Contact Scott and
Lori Crawford for ride arrangements.
The Bible Search Contest has now reached the halfway point with only
five Sundays left for the boys to take the lead from the girls. Points are
earned for bringing Bibles and friends, finding scripture and saying the
Books of the New Testament. The boys have come on strong the past two
weeks. One boy and one girl can earn extra points on the final Sunday for
each Book of the Old Testament they can say. Winners will be announced
on "Harmony Night" Sunday April 2.

One of the most common causes of mental re-
tardation is fetal exposure to alcohol. This fact
really reinforces the idea that if you are preg-
nant, aon't drink alcohol... for your baby's
sake.
Many people have back problems and very often, the cause is
years of poor posture. It is suggested that we spend too many
hours slouched in front of the TV. So be conscious of your back
at all times. Sit up straight and support it so it can support yyg
better.
Here's a different walking -for -exercise idea: try walking in knee-
deep water at the beach or pool. It's easier on the knees and
can bum 300-500 calories per hour.
Cold weather could cause an increase in angina pain. Lower tem-
peratures cause some veins to constrict causing increased work
load on the heart. If you use Nitroglycerin tablets, make sure
they are not too old.
