Salmon Quiche SThis is not a hand-me-down recipe. I like to make meals that are fast and easy. Shredded cheese also goes very nicely with this. When I'm pressed for time, 1 just sort of throw things together and make changes afterwards. 1-1-1/2 cups bisquick mix 2 cans salmon -drained 1 small chopped onion 1/2 cup -3/4 cup chopped celery 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley or 1-1/2 tsp dried 1 tsp basil 1/2 tsp salt 1/2 tsp pepper 6 eggs 3/4 cup milk • Turn oven to 350 deg. F. Mix bisquick mix with enough milk to make a ball (like pizza dough). Grease a 13x9x2 inch pan, and spread out bisquick mix up sides. Beat eggs, milk, spices and chopped vegetables. Spread salmon on top of dough. Pour egg mixture over top. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until set. Elayne Toohey - RR3 Lucan Capsule Comments with Ernie Miatello Hemorrhoids are not in the most visible location, but you know they are there. Some signs of hemor- rhoids are: bleeding or protrusion during bowel movements, itching In the anal area, sensitive lumps In the area and pain. Many people have high blood pressure and don't know it. Uncontrolled high blood pressure adds to the work load on your heart and arteries. As your heart if forced to work harder than normal over a long time, it tends to enlarge which can make It less efficient. Checked your blood pressure lately? Can the emotions of the mom -to -be affect the fetus? Although this has always been accepted as true, an Australian research study confirmed R. The study showed that when women watched very emotional movie scenes, the fetus started kicking and Its heartrate Increased. The fetus settled down once the scene was over. By the way, In Ireland, they found that babies, whose moms watched a TV soap opera regularly, recognized the show's theme song soon after birth. So surrounding yourself with good, positive sounds, feelings and emotions during pregnancy Is good advice. 'Neither a borrower or a lender be", a great law to live by when It comes to medications. BILL HASKETT Nyie• ged297 Funeral Home Limited 370 William Street, Exeter, Ontario (519) 235-1220 DAN HOULE WHEN DOES MOURNING END? Grief and mouming at the death of a loved one are natural emotions. Both are healthy and serve•to heal the bereaved as well as to remem- ber and honour the deceased. in some cases, though, protracted periods of mouming can signal a continuing depression. Some people may continue to moum as a de- nial of death, by creating living memorials to the person who died. For others, long mouming is a sign of extreme dependence on the de- ceased. They have lost a sense of their own separate identity and they will or may need some extra support and guidance from medical or religious sources. It is important to feel deeply the loss of a loved one. It is just as vital to accept it. The process of mouming helps us to remember the life of the person who died, as well as reaffirming the value of our own lives. If you would like more information on the mouming process, please stop by to talk with us. etiON IARIO r UNE RAL SERVICE ASSOClAt1ON If,ro,po..l.,n HOPPER HOCKEY FUNERAL HOME Exeter.
