EXETER - fourth meeting
of Exeter 02 4-H clu'
learning how to bake Chelsea
buns. The members compared and
investigated four different loaves
of bread and practised judging
them. There was a store bought
iloaf, a homemade loaf, a bread
machine made loaf as welt as a
loaf of bread that had fallen while
baking. The whole process of
judging was a very educational but
delicious journey!
The group then tried their own
hand at creating different shaped
buns. There were some very crea-
tive creatures and shapes that were
transformed from the sweet dough.
A bread machine demonstration
was given just to show the conven-
ience of a bread machine even
though the loaf is not the tradition-
al shape.
group than sampled and en-
joyed some very delicious bot
cross buns and some Italian Panet-
tone. •This Breadventure will con-
tinue on February 16 embarking
on an expedition of experimenting
with wild and different breads.
