Jason Simpson of the LtUcan Novice Lasers dropped the puck
prior to the start of last Wednesday night's Junior 'D' game in
Lucan. As part of Minor Hockey Night, Irish captain Steve Mat-
thews, left; and Sean McCann took the faceoff. Helping out
were Irish president Gary Wilcox and Steve Waterman of Jer-
sey City who helped sponsor the event.
Lucan peewee goalie Steve Maslin made a big save during an
exhibition game in Huron Park against Seaforth on Thur day.
Four peewee and four atom teams took part In a mini -fu tour-
nament hosted by Stephen Minor Hockey.

Gems sparkle brightly
Lucan Gems, the Juvenile Precision skating team entertained a large crowd during last
Wednesday night's Junior Developement Hockey League game. i,^ Lucan. The team, made
up of girls between 7-12 years -old head to their first competition of the year in Burlington
on January 21. The girls practice three times a week including being on the ice two morn-
ing a week beginning at 7:15 a.m. Lucan will host its own competition on March 25.
