Trent Steelingwerf learned he was a. winner in a contest held in -conjunction with the 1988 Olympic Winter .Games `sched- uled for Calgary. Trent was only one of 12 students in the province of Ontario who had their artwork chosen to appear in Ensemble. an Olympic publication. When the Olympus flame is set aflame at Calgary in 1988. a num- her of local people are likely to feel more than the usual chill run- ning up their spines. They will each he running at least one kilomet- re in Western Ontario carrying the Olympic torch. The runners will he Jan Steele of Grand Bend; Rick Abel. Get well wishes were sent to Lee Webber and Harry Beaver. bus, bands of two of the Rebekahs. The Humanitarian Services Committee had another successful euchre with seven tables in play. The next euchre will be on January 14. A donation was made to the 1.O.O.F. Memorial Research Committee to continue with their eye research. A committee will actively he working to find a student for the •Pilgrimage for Youth speakoff. The winner receives a trip to the United Nations.
