It was December 24. Everyone in
the North Pole was very busy. espe-
cially the elves. They were making
candy . canes, . dolls. trucks and
more. But not Melanie. she was in
Santa's office.
"I would like you to come with
me this year." said Santa. "I am
getting old."
Melanie ' was surprised. "Me?"
she asked. "Yes; you," said Santa.
'You may go now. I need my rest."
. Melanie was excited! She went to
her room 'to get her tools and went
to work. The next day, she got up
early. She went to wake up Santa.
He told her to go get the reindeer
and take them for a test flight.
That night. all the elves were
packing for Santa and Melanie to
go. Melanie got on the bright col-
ored sleigh.. Santa got on too. He
called the reindeer by 'name. and
they were off and ready to give our
presents. Melanie had a very good
time helping Santa. That was a mo-
iment she would not forget. .

DESIGN LAYOUT SUITABLE FOR CUL DE SAC LOT
The fashionable home is designed so that it gets progressively wider from front to back,
giving it a pie shape similar to the building envelope of a cul de sac lot.
Enter into a foyer open to the second storey and brightened by an overhead window. Pillars
frame the entrance to a stylish living room featuring corner windows. Both the living and
dining room boast an X11'0' -ceiling height. An open plan for the kitchen and family room
creates a country kitchen style atmosphere complete with a work island and pantry, a
bayed out breakfast nook, and a cozy gas fireplace. The den, set apart from the main
traffic areas offers a quiet place for study.
Upstairs, the front bedroom features two boxed but window seats and private access to
the.bath. The games room could easily be converted into a fourth bedroom if necessary.
The master bedroom provides a walk-in closet and a fie piece ensuite with double sinks
and a raised swirl tub.
Plans for U-1009 may be obtained for $465.00 for a package of five complete sets of
waking prints and $40.00 for each additional set of the same plan. Allow $15.00 extra to
