Hensall residents asked to decorate
HENSALL - Be sure to mark
December 7 on your calendar for
the Christmas Tree Lighting. Plans
are underway for the 12th Annual
Christmas Tree Lighting in the
Village of Hensall. New activities
are planned, including a children's
craft time and story telling. A flyer
with all the details will he circulat-
ed to to Hensall residents.
Judging of the Annual Christmas
Decorating Contest will take place
the second week of December in
the village. Prizes will he awarded
to houses businesses and apart-
ments. Hensall residents are
encouraged to "jolly -up" their
homes for the holidays! This con-
test is sponsored by the Hensall
Economic Development
Committee.
Residents of Hensall are asked to
play an active roll in their commu-
nity. The Hensall Parks Board (2)
Economic Development Committee
(2) and Committee of Adjustment
(1) require additional members as
noted. Persons interested in serving
on these committees should contact
the Municipal Office at 262-2812
by Wednesday. December 3.
Additional information regarding
these committees is available from
the Municipal Office.
A reminder 16 residents that
parking on Village streets between
the hours of 2-7 a.m. is prohibited.
Violators will be ticketed.
United Church News
At• Hensall United Church, Ross
Kercher gave the welcome and
'announcements. The call to wor-
ship was followed by the singing of
"Come Now Almighty King" and
the prayer for the Sovereign
Christ's Sunday. Jonathon Bryce
Mann, son of Brad and Susan
Mann, and Riley Alexis
Rooseboom, daughter of John and
Deane Rooseboom. received the
rite of baptism Kathy Mann was the
Lector. The Minister, Nancy
Fraser. delivered the sermon.The
Commtinion Service began with the
.
singing of "Hear 0 My Lord I See
You Face To Face". Mark
Garlough played soft music during
the service. •

tives present for his baptism.
including his brother Kyle. Helen
Anderson. Doug and Kathy Mann.
Edith Boyle, Vicki and Dave
Hayter and son Mackenzie and
Darren Boyle and Denise.

The Hensall United Church dec-
orating committee invites members
to bring snacks, decorations and
favorite music to the church
November 26 at 7:30 p.m.
December 7 is White Gift Sunday.
Eighty-four dollars and fifty
cents was collected for the
UNICEF fund.
