Many drugs have an effect on laboratory tests,
Vitamin C, A.S.A., arthritis medications, antac-
ids and many others can affect results. Be sure
to inform the lab technicians of what you are
taking.
Did you know that prior to the 1950's, people didn't use deodor-
ants or antiperspirant products? It all started with Arrid Cream in
the 50s and today over 95% of North Americans use some form
of deodorant.
Pharmacy Awareness Week is November 3-9. The theme this year
is "A Healthy Partnership... you and your pharmacist finding solu-
tions ,together.
Phr rn'tac) Awareness Week is an occasion for us to highlight the
pharmacist's role in helping people make inforrped choices about
their health. , .
We hear a lot in the news lately about "dispensing robots... ma-
chines that fill prescriptions! These machines will become'availa-
ble in pharmacies early in the next century. However, they can't
replace the human pharmacist who listens to your questions then
educates and advises you on the proper use of medications.
