Taking it cross country

•fun' ride featured 70 jumps over 400 acres. Judy Hender-
son said six farms gave permission for the jumps to be set
up. Over 150 riders from throughout southern Ontario rode
the course. At right, Exeter Saddle Club president Pam
Schroeder said she and Many Moons "had a great time."
Hawks win two and still undefeated
HENSALL — The `Exeter Jr. D
Hawks hockey club seem to have
the magic touch so far this season.
The Hawks preserved their per-
fect record last week by planking
Seaforth 6-0 on the road on Sat-
urday and Belmont 8-1 at Hensel,
- arena on Friday.

The Lucan Jr. D Irish hockey
club improved to a 5-2 record* and
second place in the Morenz Divi-
sion with two wins last week.
On the road in Parkhill on.Sat-
urday, the Irish crushed North Mid-
dlesex 8-1. While North' Middlesex
struck first blood at 15:56 of the
first period, Lucan scored eight un-
answered . goals including three.
