EXETER.- A meeting on Octo-
i ber-29 at 7 p.m. at the South Huron
Recreatibn Centre will give Exeter
resident a chance'to.meet and-
questionccouncil hopefuls. The for-
mat will include a brief introduc-
tion dr acclaimed candidates but
the majority.of the bine will be
;pent.on the candidates for council
and mayor.
[Former mayor Bruce Shaw and
incumbent mayor Ben Hoogen-
boom are competing for the pesi-
tion of mayor.
. Roy Tnehner has been acclaimed
as -reeve and Dave Urlin has been
acclaimed as deputy reeve.
Six pen are vying for three coun-
cillor positions:. Peter Armstrong,
:incumbent Robert Drummond, Joe
Hogan. Tom Oke. George Robert-

Point four of the plan called for
the Administrative Assistant to.take
on the majority of accounting func-
dons and point six called for the
Deputy Clerk -Treasurer toke'on
more administrative duties.
Based on comments -from Clerk -
Treasurer Liz Bell; Hundey recom-
mended the accounting/
bookkeeping functions be assigned
primarily to the Deputy Clerk -
Treasurer and the administrative/
clerk functiolns be assigned primari-
ly to the Administrative Assistant.

B[DDULPH TOWNSHIP - Thieves walked away With11.300 l.30t) worth
of goods from a Roman -tine home on Oct. 9 between 9 a.m. and 3
p.m.. London OPP Const. Donna Shulist said. -
Items stolen include a microwa've.- TV, camera, VCR and CDs.
Thieves gained entry by kicking in a wooden door.
Fire scorches three cottages.
BOSANQUET -.Fires destroyed two.cottages and damaged anuthei-
on West Ipperwash Beach 'Rd. in Bosanquet early on Friday morning;
North Lambton OPP Const. Luke George said.
Anishinabek Police officers saw the two cottages ablaze on the -'west
end of the road -at about 3 a.m. The North Lambton OPP and the Forest
and Bosanquet Fire Departments attended the scene.
The OPP Crime Unit. Ontario Fire ,Marshall's office and the Ontario
Hydro Inspector have concluded that the tires were Deliberately set.
The OPP Crime Unit continues its arson Investigation.
Those with information on the tires :are asked to -call the North
Lambton OPP at -(519) 786-2349 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-265-7500.

EXETER The big tent that protected musicians and music lovers
during the Exeter Business Association's Music Fest at 40t Main Si.: on
the weekend was collapsed early on Sunday. Huron County OPP Const.
John Marshall said.
