Water flow investigated USBORNE TOWNSHIP - The Usbome Township road depart- ment have been looking into excess water flows by an oil exploration • test hole on sideroad 25-26. It was said water has been flowing on the road allowance for a considerable length of time. Amoco, who did the oil explora- tion test hole, suggested using ben- tonite to fill the hole. Bentonite is a type of clay which expands when it gets wet. Amoco also suggested bringing in specialized equipment to stop the flow of water. Usborne Clerk -Treasurer Sandy Strang said the water flow is not a major problem. "It's not a gush of water," she said. "It's just that the grass is a lit - de greener than in other areas." Council said because a drain in- stalled nstalled by Amoco is working satis- factorily and seems to have solved the problem, no further action should be taken at this time.
