GRANTON - A large crowd enjoyed the annual Fish
Fry at the Masonic Hall on September 28. • . •
Norah Wissel and Muriel Lewis went on the Lucan
Heritage Corhniittee bus trip to the Al Jolson Musical
at the Royal Alexandra Theatre in Toronto on
September 24.
• Muriel Lewis and Larry were Saturday evening
guests with. John and .Linda Hoover and Laurel of

Bctty McIntyre from Clandeboye WI and Muriel
Lewis from Granton WI attended a public relations
workshop at Mt.Brydges Community Centre on
September 25. It was sponsored by the Southwestern
and London Womens Institute areas and the guest
speaker was Ross Daily: -
Birthday, -greetings from the Granton -community to
Lillus Clatworthy on September 29.
At the Granton United Church on Sunday. Pastor
Normalie Voakes entitled her sermon 'Salt Free
Christians' based on lessons from Esther 7, James 5
and Mark 9. "As the service began,'Christine Shannon
presented the Bible to the minister representing the'
Word of God and Stephanie Mills presented the Light
of the World by lighting the candles.
Flowers were placed -in the sanctuary from the funer-
al of Calvin Powell of Prospect Hill who died on .
September 21.
At the St. Pauls Anglican Church on Sunday, the
Rev. Glenda Meakin led the service of Holy
Communion and the' message was about obeying
God's will without questioning. The, lessons were read •
by Robert Parkinson and the minister.
The Harvest- Thanksgiving service will he held_
October 5 at 9.15 a.m. Everyone is welcome. .
The Granton Firemen's Team achieved second -place
in the North Middlesex Firemen's Baseball _League
finals recently. -
