Bend Golder Agers club held their
first euchre of the fall season on
September 10 at. the Legion hall
with 10 tables 'in play. Winners
were: -ladies high - Kay Farquhar.

from Psalm 96 was read by Hazel
Broad. in a note from the President
she thanked all the ladies who
helped at the bake and craft sale
and those who brought and served
cookies at the summer. services.
The Fall Rally will be held in
Dashwood United Church on Sep-
tember 29 at 4:30 p.m. A roast beef
dinner is being served October 8 in
place of the annual turkey supper at
Grand Bend U.C.
Thanksgiving Ecumenical will be
held fit Greenway United Church.

September 23. 1987- Mayor Bruce Shaw and fire chief Gan Mid-
dleton recently presented. 20 year service 'awards to deputy fire
chief Dain Wells and captain Larry Smith.
The newest members of the Exeter police department are Consta-
hies Shawn Armstrong and Brad Powell. Armstrong spent. the -last
five years on the Guelph police force and Powell has four years ex=
penance with the Toronto -Metro department. • • -

their -new officers recently. Ed Hearn- is president of the- Exeter
Kinsmen and Mrs. Dave Cross heads the Kinetics. In Hensall. Bob
Caldwell Is the Kinsmen president and the Kincttes president is Mrs.
Bob Caldwell. •

office to the house formerly.occupied by.the-late James Lawson. His
former office in the Bell and Laughton building has been taken over

September 24. i947-- Miss Georgina Anderson from Scotland ar-
rived in"Canada this week and travelled to her destination in Credi-
ton. She will be ,married on September 27 to -Frederick Sims of Cre-
diton. The two met in Scotland while Sims was on his embarkment

The recent pent office rubber salvage drive for, several offices in
this neighborhood brought in 4.000 pounds of scrap,rubber.

day morning to commence a course in airframe mechanics with the
Galt Aircraft School. -
