300 new hymn books (with 150 more to come) and a new
baby grand piano were dedicated recently to Exeter United
Church. Rev. "Cordell Parsons told the T -A the church is
"moving ahead in the service of God with real vibrancy and

Exeter UC sings praises
. EXETER - Things are happening at Exeter United Church. Indeed.
they are singing with many loud voices of acclamation and praise. Aside
from dedicating 300 of their new hymn book. 'Voices United' with 150
more to come. they also recently dedicated a new baby -grand piano.
So. look out! in the service of God they arc moving. ahead with real
vibrancy and hope. •

vaccination clinic

ZURICH - An anti -rabies vacci-
nation clinic will be held at South
Huron Veterinary animal hospital
• in Zurich on September 24 from 3
to 7 p.m. and again on September
27 from 9 to 1 p.m. The cost is $10
per eat or dog. The animals must he
on a leash or in a container.
A card party was held at the
Township Hall on September 22.

The Zurich and Area Figure
Skating Club is holding a fashion
show at tJ►c arena ,this Thursday at
7 p.m. Doors will open .at 6:30 p.m.

-The Internet was unavailable -at
the Zurich .Library -due to a few
problems. The first was the Internet
service. provider; the Huron Board
of Education" was upgrading its
equipment which caused its band-
width to shrink making a slower
connection: Then .because of an
intermittent power source and a bad
aerial they would continuously lose
their connection: Thcy apologize
for all sessions they had to cancel.
They should be up and running by
SF.ptemhcr 23 and then once again
free Internet access will be avail-
able to the community at the Zurich
Library and Zurich Public School.
The Internet will he available at the
Zurich Library during library hours
with assistance free any library
hour after 4 p.m. The Internet at the
Zurich Public School will be avail-
able Monday through Friday 8 a.m.
to 5 p.m. (go to the school office
for assistance).

ton and Granton enjoyed the con-
cert by the three Cantors at St.
Pauls. Cathedral in London on
Wednesday or thursday evenings.
Sept. 17 & 18. sold out for 800 (a
capacity audience) both nights. -

Christ church, Lakeside on Satur-
day; September 20.
Becky Kindree and Cathie West -
man hosted the luncheon social- at
the Lions Hall in the park on Fri-
day. Sept. 19. Prizes for high score
and lone hands went to Wally Kin-
dree and Jim Bakker and everybody
received a consolation prize.
At the Granton United Church on
Sunday, Sept. 21 Pastor Normalie
Voakes entitled her sgnnon 'Simply
Great' based on the lessons from
Proverbs 31, James 3 and Mark 9.
As the service commenced Emitee.
McRoben presented the Bible rep-
resenting the Word of God and An-
drew Bryan lit the candles; the
Light of the World.
On Oct. 5. April Bryan an-
nounced "that the Sunday - School
would be having a fishing trip after
they have lunch. They are to be ac-
companied by one _ parent and
should bring a pail, worms and a
pole. There will be prizes for the
largest, smallest and the most
caught. '..•

lute on 'Tuesday afternoon, Septem-
ber 16th. The program topic was
Canadian Industries.and Resolu
tions and the motto as 'A drop of
ink`' makes thousands think'. The
roll call was answered bya use for
salt. Resolutions - convenor Elsie
Dann read the resolution form

. Muriel Lewis chaired the meeting
and opened with a poem 'Friends'.
Arrangements were made to attend
the area convention at Embro Com-
munity Centre and plans were
made for the next meeting.
