The village currently operates live washroom facilities and Ad- ministrator Paul Turnbull estimates it costs approximately $6,000 to clean and'stock paper products in the washrooms_ annually. It was discussed that this money would be better spent upgrading the beach, facility in anticipation of the 2001 Summer Games and to provide a "legacy for the t ommunity." "It really bothers me -to have washrooms smack dab on Main Street," said Councillor Barb Whceldon. Council will advise the owner of the property of its decision regard- ing the washroom rental and the reasons behind declining the invita- tion.
