Bantams hardball team ended their super successful '97. season with a good showing at. the Ontario Baseball Association final tournament -at Wallaceburg on the weekend. Exeter went 2-2 for the tournament to finish in the middle of the. pack. They were knocked out of the tournament on Sunday by losing to the host team 9-8. . .. - "We were down 8-2 at one point and we came hack to tie it 8-8," assist- ant coach Mike Watt said. "We've always come hack all.year." Exeter gave up a run in the second extra inning, number nine. for the loss that knocked them out of the tournament. Nick Regier picked up team game MVP honors. - On Saturday afternoon the Bantams edged Tillsonhurg 11-8 in an error filled game. Exeter was behind 7-4' at one point. hut Nick Regier's two run double late. in the game sealed his second 'game MVP honor: Tim Masse, Ryan Parker. Mark Bilinsky.
