The Purple Rockets (ages six to eight) Completed.
a successful season on Saturday. winning the 'A'
championship of the. Exeter Rookie Ball House
League. •
The Rockets had five wins. three losses. artd one
tie throughout the regular.seashn and all of their
hard work and el'fon was evideint on the playoff
weekend as they went undefeated over four games
to win the 'A' title over the Green team.

Litter problem
"1 spent. three hours at Mac -
Naughton Park picking up "litter...
Dear Editor' - • • .
f)nce°again i find myself wVriting'to your -readers. I
know th'at this is reheating myself over and over
again. hut -I (lo not think some cif yotir readers take
my feelings to heart.
On July .2Qrspent•three. hours at MacNaughtrin
Park. pi ting,up liner that had•been•carelessly
thrown on the ground or into the river. In that three
hour,•..111 I could manage to get done was from the
"hedge to thii dam. That is a.very small area'for the
'amount of garbage andtitne involved.' •
I take my dug for a walk almost every night -along ,
the river towards the Morrison Dam.' Along with
him i also tae a grocery:hag or two with me, re •

turning them bill of garbage that we pick up. .
I look at what I'm doing is trying to solve the pot -
:I -triton prohlem.that we -have -between the two parks
that we arefortunate to base. I have lived in coun-
tries where the water is sopolluted that if. you' fell
. into tthem you could die. I do not swish this on my
children or theirs: .
If we all can't be part of the solrjtion-t- this pSoh-
, lem. then those.wyho can't help and niayhe walk 2.0
feet to a.garbage can are the problem.. 1also am a'
fisherman. hut' what I see ot;-the so-called tishernien.
they may catch fish hut they are .not- fishermen.
There is ,l littering bylaw written in our town
hooks. Do we need a hylaw'officerto enforce this

The personal warmth of tlx: visit remains the .first •
