This program strives to explore and analyse the changing concerns and respon- sibilities of women in today's rapidly -changing world. Three courses offered through the program this fall will be available at the. Clinton campus, located on Vanastra Road. The first course is entitled WOMEN AND MONEY and beings at 7 p.m. on Wednes- day, September 23. In this course, women will have the opportunity to become con- versant with current economic concerns, such as inflation and bank rates, that affect their lives. Class dis- cussion will focus on topics such as banking, budgeting, saving, investing and retire- ment plans. The fee for this eight-week course is $30. • Louise Marritt, herself a farm widow, will lead the course FOR WIDOWS ONLY, beginning Thursday, 'October 1, at 7:30 p,m. Par- ticipants in this duscussion- centred course will explore and deal with the difficulties and challenges widows face. Topics will include handling grief and loneliness, being a single parent and financial planning. The fee is $15 for five sessions. Monday, October 19 is the starting date for the third course, ASSERTIVENESS FOR WOMEN. The purpose of this six-week course is to allow participants to master assertiveness techniques by means of classroom demonstrations and. role playing. These techniques can then be applied to over- coming problems which stem from feelings of helplessness, fear or dis- satisfaction. Sessions begin at 7 p.m., and the fee is $27. Music Appreciation was well attended on Monday afternoon. Tuesday we hosted Geri Fashions and all residents had the op- portunity to come to the new auditorium and select new articles of clothing. We much appreciate the invitation extended to us by Mr. Lorne Brown for the generous offer of free ad- mittance to the Drive-in and a special treat during the show. We had to decline due to the poor weather but hope to take a rain check at a future date. Mrs. Prouty held Bible study in the chapel on Thursday afternoon. Also on Thursday three car loads of residents journeyed to Blyth to see He Won't Come In From The Barn.
