Zurich playground kids, enjoy fantasy games By TERRI FARQUHAR, TODD LAPORTE Senior Monday we didn't attend Playground since it was Civic Holiday We all need a break sometime! The wild life up north Barry and Pat Taylor and family spent a few days at Munro Park at Powassan with the "Chessell family" and friends group last week. A couple of big bass gave Barry a bit of a tussle. Those big suckers make you think you're into something good, too. don't they, Barry? This was the Year of the Wildlife up north, with skunks (you had to be careful you didn't trip over one). raccoons, red squirrels and chipmunks in camp, lots of beaver. muskrats, foxes, fish cranes, ducks, and the ever-present seagulls. We played Let's Make A Deal, Family Feud, and Act Fast. These games came complete with prizes. We finished off the day with wood burning and spool knitting. Friday was the real day of work for us. In an effort to raise -money for a trip to Rocktbn Animal Safari we held a roll-a-thon-dance-a- thon. Starting at 8 a.m. we skated until 6 p.m. without too much trouble. • "It was fun," says Todd LaPorte. Junior Monday we got to sleep in because there was no playground that morning. They told us it was a holiday. We couldn't figure it out. everyday is a holiday for us. The watermelon that we had on Tuesday was really cooling after playing relays and games. On Wednesday there were activities which gave us the chance to try our skills at being such things as dragons, lollipops, sausages and ghosts. I think we would all agree that the highlight of Thur- sday was the bowling which we did on the arena surface. On Friday we really tried to concentrate on making our vegetable animals, and monster pictures but our attention always seemed to be drawn to the activity down below at the roll-a- thon.
