Minister visits Israel
Rev. Barbara Laing has
returned home following five
weeks spent in Israel and
England. In an interview she
said, "I was at a summer
School in Israel led by an
Anglican Canon Ronald
Browning. We were a party
Dashwood
Mrs. Irvin Rader
of 48 from many parts of the
world representing various
denominations. We had a
very intensive 16 days.
Archaeologol sites, religious
sites were visited and
today's Israel, touring some
Kibbutz and visiting an Arab
Home."
"We had lectures on all the
places visited as well as the-
historical
hehistorical background. There
were also Iectures on the
Muslim faith and the Muslim
.Israeli situation with
thoughts on the role of the
Christian church in today's
situation."
"We had fun and great
fellowship sharing the
spiritual experience that is
central to a visit to the Holy
.Land. The place where
"The word" became flesh
and lived . among us. "To
walk where Jesus walked
and know the reality of His
life and death and
resurrection is an experience
never to be forgotten."
