Congratulations to newly weds, Connie Neeb and Tom Keenan who were married in London on Monday. Connie is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Neeb and Tom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Keenan, formerly of Zurich. Saturday and Sunday visitors with Mrs. Margaret Kalbfleisch were her children, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Kalbfleisch of Toronto and Mr. and Mrs. Don Taber, Burlington. Bob and Faye Forrester and two daughters motored as far as the Yukon and Alaska on five week vaca- tion. The girls even had a chance to pan for gold! And found it very interesting and different to have daylight all night long. They alsoienjoyed going to such places as British Columbia,- Jasper, Banff, Yellowstone Park, Wyom- ing, and seeing Mt. Rushmore (where heads of presidents are carved in the mountain) in South Dakota. And reported seeing a grizz- ly bear,elk, deer, mountain sheep and lots of moose along their travels. Father Dick Bedard of Toronto spent a few days last week at the home of his sister; Beattie and Clarence Geoffrey, accompanied by Fr. William Comerford. Fr. Dick enjoyed seeing many of his old friends and relatives. Pastor Jack Dressler along with his wife Eileen and their children spent two weeks at Michigan State University where they took several courses at the Great Lakes Church leadership school. The family of Avilla Ducharme held a reunion on Sunday at the home of their son Fred and Charlene Ducharme, RR 2 Zurich for 35 relatives. In spite of a cool .day, they were able to barbeque but had toeat in- side. Visitors from Holland with Afra Van Wonderen and family is her sister and daughter. Lucien and Nora Corrivau from the Spruce Villa Apartments along with their daughter Luella and son-in- law Chester Loucks of Lon- don enjoyed last Thursday and Friday going to Collingwood and Midland were they saw the Indian Village and Martyr's shrine. Ted and Sarah Robson of Windsor spent from Friday to Sunday visiting with various relatives in the area, as well away on holidays for the past two weeks visiting relatives and various places. Theresa Stark and her sister Bernadette Denomme recently spent a week visiting relatives in Oakville, Toronto and Windsor, where they went by train. They flew from Detroit to Baltimore Maryland where they spent a few days with their sister, (a nun) Sister Marie Pierre. There will be a paper Drive on Thursday July 30th (today) at 6:30 by the Tor- chbears club. Mr. and Mrs. John Rasenberg of Holland are presently spending a couple of weeks vacation with his brother and family, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Rasenberg at RR 3 Zurich. Mr. and Mrs. Mike O'Brien and children Sean and Kathleen have returned to their home in Dartmouth, nings, RR 1, Zurich, along with the formers brother, Mr. and Mrs. Jos Pennings who are spending a month with them from Holland, all returned home on Sunday after spending three weeks travelling. They visited with Harry and Wilhelmien's daughter, Mary Jane who lives in Cranbrook B.C. then went onto see various places such as, Jasper, and Banff - which they found were very nice. Mr. and Mrs. Lionel Cyr and two of their children returned home last week after being away on a cam- ping trip for 2 weeks, going to such places as Dart- mouth, Nova Scotia where they toured through Prince Edward Island and then over to New Brunswick making their way back to Zurich. Mrs. Fred Gielnik, Jen- nifer and Daniel have returned home after a two month visit in Germany with her parents, relatives and friends. Mr. and Mrs. Don Gaiser and Mr. and Mrs. Jack Gaiser attended the funeral of Mrs. Wallace Haugh at Brucefield, Wednesday 1 visited the new Post Of- fice this morning. Everything was so neat and clean. There was no mail but the girls served a`11-04- lunch. It was a welcome break in a busy morning.
