friends stained and built
them.
The steamers are hosting
another tournament this
Saturday and Sunday. The
first game starts at 9:00 a.m.
with the Steamers playing
Z urich Eagles.
Church News
The Varna and Goshen
church congregations
worship in beautiful
surroundings in the Stanley
township pavillion at the
lake on Sunday.
Members took part in a
"love feast" form of com-
munion similar to the way
the first century Christians
observed it. Congregational
singing made up much of the
service, and a ukelele group
sang.
Following a delicious
TEACHING GRAD — Linda
Webster, daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Grant R. Webster
of Varna, received a degree
of Bachelor of Education in
French and School
Librarianship at the Spring
Convocation of the University
of Western Ontario on June
12. Linda graduated on the
Dean's Honour List. Linda, a
graduate of C.H.S.S., Huron
College and Althouse
College, has accepted a
French teaching position with
the Perth County Board of
Education at Listowel Central
Public school.

NICIAN — Ron Meidinger,
son of Mr. and Mrs. Steve
Meidinger, Zurich,
graduated June 26 from
Fanshawe College London in
the Mechanical Engineering
Technician (Design) course.
He has secured a position
with Fisher Bearings Ltd.
Stratford.

the summer break while
Rev. W. Brown is on
vacation.
A farewell party is being
held for the Berne McKinley
family at Goshen church
starting at noon Sunday.

fascinating.

ders". It would be in-
teresting to know how many
applications he had, and who

Nurse Gretta •Mustard, who
was on a mission field in
Gypsumville, Manitoba,
with Nurse Sinclair of
Stanley, and told of a big
Indian who visited them once
a week, drunks who came for
medicine, and long hours
trying to save the life of a
very sick youth on Christmas
Day (he recovered). The
correspondent's'names were
not with the columns.

following a week spent at
Dashwood

pastor was a camp
counsellor.
Bridal shower
Mrs. Earl Keller and Mrs.
George Keller were
hostesses at a miscellaneous
shower at the latter's home,
Sunday July 5, for their
niece, Lori Keller, bride -
elect of September.
Relatives and friends of both
the bride and groom were
present. She received many
lovely gifts and graciously
thanked everyone. The men
heli a get together at the
home of Earl Keller.
