Southampton last weekend
where they fished for pike
and bass and relaxed in the
sun.

been John and Rosaleen

Manitoba, who left to return
to Holland and Joe and
Greta Vandeberg, Brnsum,
Holland. who will stay until
September. Greta is a sister
of Mr. Struyke.
Mrs. Esther Salmon has
returned home from Univer-
sity hospital where she has
been a patient since April
due to a stroke.

were Earl's sisters Mrs.
Fred Cords, St. Catharines;
Mrs. Lloyd Edighoffer.

visitors with Mr. and Mrs.
Irvin Rader.
Art auction will
raise theatre funds
Arrangements are com-
plete for one of Huron
Country Playhouse's most
popular fund raising events.
The 5th Annual International
Art Auction will be held at
the Playhouse near Grand
Bend on Sunday ,August 2.
This year's auction will
feature 100 works including
paintings, drawings, prints,
sculpture and many other
forms of artistic expression
from around the world. Al
least 10 percent of the pieces
offered will be the work of
local southwestern Ontario
artists.
In a departure from
previous auctions, the works
will all be available for
viewing by the general
public at no charge. The
display will be open from
3:30 to 5 p.m.
Large crowds are -ex-
petted to be in attendance on
August 2 as the theatre is
running its first "Challenge
Auction" during the af-
ternoon. Proceeds from both
auction events will be
eligible for 2 for 1 grants
from the Wintario Challenge
Fund. The playhouse has
targeted a fundraising goal
of $333,333 over the next
three years to obtain the
maximum of 1666,666.

For those who plan to
attend the art auction and
bid on one or more of the
items, admission will be $5
per person. The 8 p.m.
auction is preceded by a
wine and cheese reception
beginning at 6:30.
The Auction will be con-
ducted for the Playhouse by
Thielson Galleries Inc. in
London.

MR. AND MRS. RON BILCKI
On Saturday, June 6, Mary Lou Grigg and Ron Bilcke were
united in marriage by Reverend Barbaro Laing at Calvary
United Church, Dashwood. Mary Lou is the daughter of Ivan
and Shirley Grigg, Dashwood and Ron is the son of Silvere
and Denise Bilcke, RR 3 Exeter. Becky Turnbull, Calgary, was
the maid of honour and bridesmaids were Alice Brown,
Guelph; Erryn Shephard, Grand Bend and Janet Bilcke, Lon-
don. Flower girl was Amanda Dunn, Grand Bend. The best
man was Dan Mittleholtz, London. Attendants were Don
McKellar, Grand Bend; Dwight Consitt, Hensall and Eric
Gaiser, Waterloo. Ringbearer was David Gaiser, Waterloo.
Afte, a honeymoon to Wheels Inn in Chatham, the couple are
residing at RR 1, Hensall.

Elizabeth Deichert, daughter
of .Mr. and Mrs. Earl
Deichert, RR 2 Zurich,
graduated on June 13 with a
master's degree in Jour-
nalism from the University of
Western Ontario. Elizabeth
will begin a parliamentary
internship at Queen's Park,
Toronto in September.
