Brucefield hosts reunion
The 52nd annual
Stephenson Reunion was
held Sunday, June 28th, 1981
at Huron Centennial School,
Brucefield with 35 in at-
tendance. Following the
5p.m. supper, business was
conducted by the president,
Ralph Stephenson. A motion
to have the picnic held every
second year was defeated,
and next year's picnic will be
held at an earlier date,
Sunday, June 6, 1982 at the
same place.
The minutes of last year's
reunion were read by Brenda
Wright, secretary -treasurer.
Following this, some
contests and sports were
conducted by Gerald and
Jean Rathwell with the
results as follows:
Contests: youngest person
present, Darcy Rathwell;
oldest person present, Lee
McConnell; person coming
the farthest, Robert Willert
from Innisfail, Alberta;
wedding anniversary closest
to picnic date, Ralph and
Mona Stephenson; most
recently married couple,
Marius and Janice Beyer-
sbergen;lucky chair, Clara
Johnson ; lady wearing the
most pink, Mavis Turner;
guess the correct water-
melon weight, Anna
McConnell; guess the

Stephenson; guess the

MR. AND MRS. DOUGLAS OESCH
On June 6, Ruth Esther Fox and Douglas Carl Oesch were un-
ited in marriage at the Zurich Mennonite Church by Rev.
Clayton Kuepfer. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Eugene Fox of Zurich and the groom's parents are Mr. and
Mrs. Carl Oesch, also of Zurich. The bride was accompanied
by her maid of honour Ruth Gingerich, bridesmaids Debbie
Thiel and Margaret Prins and flower girls Julie Prins and
Cynthia Prins. Standing up with the groom were his best
friend Jeff Oesch and ushers Greg Thiel and Steve Fox. After
a honeymoon at Banff and Lake Louise Alberta the couple will
