Seniors join in mystery bus tour A pleasant day was had by 20 Zurich senior citizens last Wednesday as they were among three buses full of golden agers who went on a Zurlch Carmel Sweeney mystery tour and ended up in Kitchener at the Doon Pioneer Village. The trip, along with lunch was given courtesy ofthe Exeter Lions Club as part of Senior Citizens Week. Bus trip Anyone interested in going on a three day bus trip to Killanery leaving on September 29 can contact Gen Doyle at 236-4088 for more information. 82nd birthday Mr. Lloyd O'Brien, celebrated his recent 82nd birthday and father's day on Sunday with a family dinner at the Dominion Tavern. Personals Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Worsell of Coquitlam B.C. visited for ten days with the formers aunt, Mrs. Dorothy Koehler. Mrs. Anne Tuerkheim is a patient in South Huron hospital, Exeter also Glen Thiel, was transferred toVic- toria (Westminster Cam- pus) from Exeter last week, and we wish them both a speedy recovery. Congratulations to Ken and Dorothy Breakey who celebrated their 38th wed- ding anniversary on Friday June 26. Also in that same week Ken celebrated a birth- day on Wednsday and father's day on Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Lee Regier and Mr. and Mrs. Morris Webb are happy to announce the arrival of their grandson Ian David Regier who was born on June 14, in Calgary Alberta to proud parents Janet and Richard Regier. Mrs. Kay Webb returned home after spending ten days with her daughter Janet and son-in-law Richard Regier in Calgary, Alberta also with grand children Laura and new baby Ian. Last Wednesday dinner guests with Carmel Sweeney and girls, were her mother Mrs. Nelson (Jean) Bedard, and a sister, Shirley Flood and friend Pat all of Windsor also visiting with Jerome in Exeter hospital. Wayne and Helen Horner of Calgary and children Kam and Shelly are presently visiting with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Russell Grainger and Mr. and Mrs. Harold Horner for almost two weeks. They were ac- companied by Robert Willett also of Calgary who is stay- ing with relatives and grand- parents Mr. and Mrs. Percy Willert. Welcome to town, Paul and Ganine Masse and children who moved into the former McBride house on John Street on Saturday.The couple were previously liv- ing on the Blue Water highway. Dr. Charles Wallace returned .to his duties on the weekend after being away for two weeks to England. Nine year old Paul Dickert son of Ron and Sandra Dickert had the misfortune of falling off a swing at the park last week and as a result broke his two wrists, and will have them in a cast for another three weeks. Congratulations to Ted Soudant and Janet Oesch who were married at St. Boniface Church on Satur- day with dinner and recep- tion in Hensall. Carmel parish be- ing Larry Regier son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Regier RR 3, Dashwood, to Julie Ingram of Hensall. Charlie and Bernice Eckel spent last week in Timmins. She is a former student of Zurich Public School pnd South Huron District High School. In August, she will be employed as a Registered Nurse at Victoria Hospital, London.
