Overflow crowds at both morning and afternoon ser- vices were able to watch and hear the service on closed circuit TV. • Former members and friends were able to relax in- doors or outdoors and enjoy cafeteria style meals served by the Ladies Aid and many willing hands from the con - Dashwood Piro. Irvin Rader gregation. The meals were planned by group 2 with con- veners Mrs. Ray Rader and Mrs Earl Keller. Donations of food, money, time and help were tremen- dous. The ringing of the bell which had been silent since April 5, 1979 summoned all to worship and brought back memories both sad and joyful to all present. Guest speakers were Rev. Dr. R. Sauer, Vice- president, the Lutheran church, Missouri Synod and Rev. 'ArthurRader, Brama= lea, a son of the con- gregation, Former ministers who attended were Rev. K. Zorn, Kitchener; Rev, W. Gatz, Jackson, Mich., Rev. F. Morgret, Beamsville, and Rev. Earl Steinman, Parkhill. Also in attendance were Mrs. T. Luft widow of Rev. T. Luft Kitchener, and Mrs. L. Higenell, widow of Rev. L. Higenell, St. Catharines and Rev. M. Barz; vacancy pastor, Goderich as well as area pastors. Judging by Monday's weather the good Lord had smiled His'approval with all that lovely sunshine. Dashwood Seniors Dashwood Senior Citizens held their final meeting of the season Monday June 15 with a picnic at the pavilion. There were 49 members and six visitors. Following supper Ted Ducharme's family enter- tained. Mrs. Ken McCrae's group was in charge. Mrs. Pearl Miller, presi- dent, dealt with the business. The seniors will leave the community centre after 12 a.m. June 25togoto Huronview. Mrs. Miller explained the "Vial of Life. While on a bus trip to Pittsburgh a lady had a heart siezure. With all the statistics in her purse a doctor was able to look after immediately. A bus trip to Killarney Lake is planned for September 30 and Octoberl. Those interested phone 237- 3554. Award for Stephen During the investiture at Gravenhurst Friday June 19, Emil Becker was recipient of the long service medal for 30 years service with the Township of Stephen fire department. Each medal recipient's spouse was presented with an accom- panying broach. The firemen were ushered in by bagpipe and drum. Personals Mrs. Vernon Schatz is a patient in South Huron Hospital, Exeter. Mr. and Mrs. Edward Restemayer, Brent and Amy, Alliston spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Stade and Sherrie. Ray Kretzman, Bob and friend, Margate, Florida were overnight visitors with Don and Jack Gaiser and families. Mrs. Wilbur Stewart, Lon- don, spent some time with Mr. and Mrs. Jack Gaiser and girls and attended the graduation of her grand- daughter Lyn from Stephen Central School.
