days this week, held at the
Park Street United Church.
The spring conference of
the United Church of Canada

On Wednesday there were
13 ordinands ordained into
the ministry. Among them
was Barbara Laing who is
the minister of the
Dashwood, Zurich charge. •
A bus load of Dashwood
and Zurich church members
attended the very im-

Rev. Barbara Laing spoke
to the children on Sunday
morning about belonging to
the family of God.
We love our brothers and
sisters because we have one
father and mother. So also
we must love one another,
because we have one heaven-
ly father.
Since she was ordained
last week at the church con-
ference, Rev. Laing spoke to
the adults of her thoughts in
preparing herself for the
ministry.
She spoke on the love of
caring people. The church
exists so that we can share
caring -and loving. We were
admonished to reach out in
love because this brings
Glory to God.
