Glimpses
Although Mother's Day
was very wet, it did not
dampen the spirits of the
relatives who visited here to
pay tribute to their mothers.
On Tuesday evening the
Ladies Auxiliary held their
monthly meeting in the
dining room commencing
with a programme for the
residents.
Music was supplied by Mr.
Max Ducharme playing the
violin accompanied by Mr.
Donald Dinney who played
the guitar.
Miss Jackie Bedard and
Miss Nancy Overholt sang
several duets. Following the
programme, a delicious
lunch was served.
Residents out . visiting
during the week were Mrs.
Beatrice Overholt, Mrs.
Ruby Hoggarth, Mrs. Minnie
Hern, Mrs. Margaret Pfaff,
Mrs. Nancy Koehler, Mrs.
Inez McEwen, Mrs. Edith
Davis and Mrs. Eva Thiel.
Bingo was played on
Friday evening followed by
refreshments.
The annual Mother's Day
tea and bake sale was held
on Saturday afternoon, and
was- by all reports, a very
successful afternoon. A
Mother's Day cake made by
Miss Mary Lou Erb was won
by Mrs. Nancy Thomas,
R.N. Prior to the afternoon's
activities, each resident
received a flower for their
lapel, courtesy of the Ladies
Auxiliary.
