Zurich Citizens News, 1981-05-14, Page 10Page 10 May 14, 1981 Golder • Glimpses Although Mother's Day was very wet, it did not dampen the spirits of the relatives who visited here to pay tribute to their mothers. On Tuesday evening the Ladies Auxiliary held their monthly meeting in the dining room commencing with a programme for the residents. Music was supplied by Mr. Max Ducharme playing the violin accompanied by Mr. Donald Dinney who played the guitar. Miss Jackie Bedard and Miss Nancy Overholt sang several duets. Following the programme, a delicious lunch was served. Residents out . visiting during the week were Mrs. Beatrice Overholt, Mrs. Ruby Hoggarth, Mrs. Minnie Hern, Mrs. Margaret Pfaff, Mrs. Nancy Koehler, Mrs. Inez McEwen, Mrs. Edith Davis and Mrs. Eva Thiel. Bingo was played on Friday evening followed by refreshments. The annual Mother's Day tea and bake sale was held on Saturday afternoon, and was- by all reports, a very successful afternoon. A Mother's Day cake made by Miss Mary Lou Erb was won by Mrs. Nancy Thomas, R.N. Prior to the afternoon's activities, each resident received a flower for their lapel, courtesy of the Ladies Auxiliary. The Sunday evening chapel service was con- ducted by Rev. Kenneth Knight of the Hensall Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Blanche Dougall presided at the organ during the service: TEENAGE PLAYOFF CHAMPS — In Zurich bowling were: (from left) Kim Masse, Wendy Van Der Hoek, Shelly Haggit, and Tracey lesperance.
