Dashwood Beavers have
been very busy. They went
to Irvin Rader's home and
Mary showed the interested
groups how maple syrup was
made and how it tasted. The
Beavers say thank you for
showing us.
There are a lot of tours
and outings planned.
For Easter they made
Easter baskets from egg
cartons and painted eggs.
They also played games and
sang songs.
The Spring . project was
very interesting. Each
Beaver brought something
or told a story or sang a song
about spring.
Last week the leaders had
a big surprise for the
Beavers. Rusty (Charlene
Finkbeiner) had a baby boy.
The Beavers all brought a
little extra money and gave
the new baby Beaver a stuff-

Raise funds to buy house
The Town and Country
Homemakers are pleased to
announce they have raised
over $4000 towards the $10,-
000 down payment to
purchase the Victoria St.
(Wingham) building in
which they have their of-
fices.
The owner of the house the
group has been renting since
Dec., 1980 has received an
offer on the property. The
homemakers have been
given first option to
purchase it. provided they
can raise the required funds.
The board set up a building
fund aiming to eventual-
ly purchase the property.
There were suggestions that
the group could move from
Wingham to the new county
health building at Huron -
view. Clinton but decided it
would be inconvenient. also
the group vkuld like to re-
tain its independence.
The Town and Country
Homemakers is a private,
non-profit organization
which provides a variety of
professional homemaking
services to persons who need
them. Last year it employed
80 homemakers and served
