After a . lull for a, couple of
weeks, we will try to bring
our readers up to date on the
activities of' the Home.
Films ,have been discon-
tinued for the spring and
summer months because of
the long daylight hours.
Our residents here enjoy
bingo on Friday evenings
year 'round.
The Official Opening of the
Blue Water Rest Home
Apartments will •take place
on Sunday afternoon, May 3
at 2:00 p.m. We hope you
will reserve a couple of
hours on Sunday to attend.
Everyone is welcome.
Other coming events are
the Annual Mother's Day
Tea and Bake Sale to be
held on Saturday, May 9
from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Any
donations of baking and
plants would be very much
appreciated. Please circle
your calendar for this date.
Also, the regular May
meeting of the Ladies Aux-
iliary will be held on Tues-
day evening, May 5 at 7:00
p.m. in the dining room,
commencing with a
programme and
refreshments for the
residents, followed by the
business part of the meeting.
All interested ladies of the
surrounding community are
invited to attend.
The sympathy of residents
and staff is extended to the
families of the late Mrs.
Emma Bennewies, Mrs.
Myrtle Brown and Mrs.
• Ferne Bowman.
Our residents have been
taking part in a recreation
programme on Tuesday
afternoons - here under the
direction of the Vanastra
Recreation Committee.
