Three infants baptized at United
The Sacrament of Baptism
was observed at Hensall
United Church by Rev.
Stanley McDonald on Sun-
day, April 26: Presenting
their children for baptism;
Heisall
Bertha McGregor
Paul and Linda Alexander
were witnesses- with their
son Ryan Paul; Kenneth and
Trudy Ferguson with their
son Christopher John; and
Bill and Heather Forrest
with their son Steven James
VP
Deric. Each couple received
a blue carnation as a sign of
a new life.
The message, given by
Rev. McDonald, was based
on Proverbs 22, verse 6,
"Train Up a Child in the way
he should go, and he will not
depart from it". This'
message is old, yet ever
new, with each generation.
It is important for the child,
for others and for society.
Today's children are the
nations of tomorrow.
They are influenced by the
home, the church and the
rest of the world they en-
counter, but the home exerts
the greatest influence.

These were the questions
he put to us in a soul-
searching challenge.
