On Tuesday Feb. 3, 1981,
the Zurich 4-H club held
their first meeting at the
home of Helen Regier.
After the pledge we in-
troduced ourselves and
voted on officers. The elec-

Theresa and Carolyn Regier,
secretaries.
We were told the re,

found out that we have to
make 3 samples and one gar-

We took turns reading the
introduction and filled in the
blanks to determine if we
are an experienced or begin-

We read about making a
sewing box and tested our
knowledge of metric
measurement. We paired up
and measured each other to
determine our pattern size.
Then we learned about
choosing a pattern and
fabric. Helen told us we have
to colour the pictures of
different garments to learn
what colours go with which.
After learning how to- buy
patterns, fabric and notions,
we discussed the things we
should do for home. Helen
then showed how to cut the
edges of the pattern pieces.
We all decided on
"Fashion Freaks" as the
club name.
We ended the meeting
with a snack of brownies and
orange juice supplied by
Helen Regier.
The next meeting will be
held at Helen Regier's on
Tuesday Feb. 10 at 7 p.m.
