Prior to his final week at this newspaper the
writer plus two other gentlemen departed for the sun-
ny south, ie, Florida.
The weather was indeed sunny but it was also
bloody cool with the mercury never climbing above 20
degrees celsius during the seven days which we were
down there.
That's really hard to take compared to the
temperatures which we've been experiencing here, the
writer can imagine a few readers saying to
themselves.
Sure, it was a very nice break but when your main
aim was to bake on the beach and come away with a
tan that would shame Adonis, its a little bit disappoin-
ting.
The trip was very useful from the standpoint that
it made the writer realize that he gets a kick out of
winter.
Put away the sun tan lotion and break out the skis!
