The way the church counts the week is by candles which is lit. Younger children count the days before Chirstmas. The real origin of Chirstmas is'nt getting gift the real origin of Chirstmas is that it is Jesus birthday. When weeks pass the children come excited. Tonight is Chirstmas eve the young kids go to sleep early and wait for the people who are at church. Then when your mom get home they wake you up. After all the gifts on Chirstmas Day people go to church that didn't go on Mid- night mass. On January ar New year's We celebrate a new year which will be 1981. ill be this' bad! Why, I heard it was all presents, bells, food and holly. And that there was a really neat guy who was always jolly. I looked up to the heavens with a tear in my eye, The tear slid down and I buried my face in my hands with a sigh. I would have sat there very long I'm sure, When suddenly I felt a brush of fur. I looked up into the eye of a smiling, elderly guy, "And what is wrong with you, you look as if you were about to cry. I said, "Who are you?" With a jolly laugh he said, "Guess who?" I wear red at Christmas, and who else has a beard as white as snow? "Why you're not ... Santa Claus? Oh no! "I am at that," he said with a grin, "Aren't you going to invite me in?" I brought him into the place, And was a bit flushed to see his ears it in such a disgrace. "I have nothing to offer you, but won't you stay a while?" • "You may have nothing for me but I have something for you," he said with a smile. And with that he left leaving a surprise. I looked around and couldn't believe my eyes. There was holly, food, presents, and bells, I was so happy I felt like giv- ing out yells.
