It was a wonderful but
strange Christmas. It was

kitchen. I looked in the
fridge but nothing was to be
found. Then I heard, "Mmm,
slurp. slurp, slurp, and
chomp. chomp, chomp." I
turned quickly and there on
the kitchen table were emp-
ty plates, bowls and jugs. I
couldn't believe- my eyes!
Santa had eaten our Christ-
mas dinner and fixings. I
scolded Santa till his ears
were red; and then he had
the nerve to ask me for a
doggie bag or should I say a
deer bag. I must say he did
do one thing right and it was
placing the Christmas
presents under the tree. He
asked me, "What's the
matter?" I was going to say

Christmas Eve
By Dianne Cyr
Grade 8
Ecole Ste. Marie
On Christmas Eve in
Bethlehem,
Was born a beautiful golden
gem.
In a stable he was born,
But not one man was able to
scorn.
For above the stable was a
star,
To lead 3 men who travel
afar.
The star shone bright 411 day
and night,
With a beautiful shining
gleaming light.
Mary and Joseph were
always there,
To comfort our- Lord with
loving care.
Animals were there to keep
him warm,
They all stood around the
silent form.
The wisemen travelled in
the cold,
They brought our Lord
myrrh. frankincense and
gold.
Everyone felt safe that
wonderful night,
For above the stable came a
wonderful sight.
Angels came and sang for
joy.
Fot the one in the stable was
Jesus a boy.
