Christmas?

Christmas is a wonderful
part of the year. Not because
Santa -Claus comes but
Christ was born.
All over the world people
celebrate and show love by
giving. The same thing was
done when the kings and
shepherds gave theregifts to
the Lord. The shepherds did
not get anything in return
except for our Savior.
So when you give someone
a gift remember that the
shepherds were happier giv-
ing then getting.

Enjoyable mess
By Nicole de neck
Grade ,S
Zurich Public School
Children in the kitchen,
Busy little bees.
Working over• bowls,
Then working with the peas.
Mixing the whip cream,
Oh! what a dream!
Dirty little faces,
Hiding all the traces,
Of the enjoyable mess they
have made.
Nothing but
a branch
By Cathy Hartman
Grade S

Paul awoke on Christmas
morning to find nothing but a
Christmas tree branch. He
went to his mother's
bedroom; but to find her
weeping on her bed. He
realized then, his mother
was weeping over a present
that she could not afford to
buy. because -;1.00 was all
she had. He went in and too
cheer her up he kissed her.

The Christmas
Rose
By Maria Kochan
St. Boniface School
A shepherdess keeping sheep
one night
Looked up to the sky,
Then saw someone coming
It was three kings who went
by.
She followed them to the
stable
Where baby Jesus lay, •
She had no gifts to give
But wanted so much to stay.
She started to cry and cry
And as the tears ran down
her face and nose,
They fell upon the snow,
And turned into the Christ-
mas Rose.
She carefully picked it up
And as the cows started to
moo.
She gave the rose to Jesus
'and said,
"Oh Jesus, I love you."

Mrs. Santa Claus is very
sick too. so I must stay home
with her. She has a very bad
-flu that will last until after
Christmas.
The elves are very busy
making toys. There are
more toys then last year for
you. The elves are busy mak-
ing dolls, toy dishes, wind-up _
toys and electric train sets
today.
If you stay up on Christ-
mas Eve, you will see
Rudolf leading the sleigh full
of toys. Christmas is com-
ing! - for my biggest elf is
going to drop off your toys.
Next year there will be a
new Santa Claus! I am not
telling who. It is suppose to
be a surprise!
Merry Christmas,
everyone,
Love
Santa Claus
