Dear Children of the world:
I am very sorry that I can-
not bring you any gifts this
year I am much too old. My
arthritis is acting up again. I
went to the doctor the other
day and he said there was no
Mary Mouse

Little Mary , Mouse was
snuggled in bed,
While visions of candy canes
danced in her head.
When Santa arrived she
awoke` right away,
And smiled at him -happy but
shy.
"Oh Santa," she sighed.
"Please bring me a doll
that waves and cries.
"Well get back to bed and
shut your eyes tight,
maybe, just maybe I
might.
So she went back to sleep,
And the very next day she
hopped out of bed,
Down to the tree she
hurriedly sped.
And under the tree she spied
the doll that waved and
cried.
Little Marry Mouse squeal-
ed with glee,
"Oh thank you dear Santa, I
really love this toy you
brought for me.

way I could deliver gifts to
you. He said I would never
make it.
You know Roudolf isn't so
young anymore either. Just
last week he passed out as
we were taking a stroll
through the North Pole. I
don't think he could manage
to lead the other reindeer
this year.
Another reason is;'the
elves went on a vacation trip
to Florida and wrote me a
post card saying they quit
because it was much to cold
here and they liked it better
in Florida. So I have know
toys ready for you.
Mrs. Santa Claus is getting
old too. She said she didn't

One day Mary told her
mom that a boy named
Joseph said he was named
after a saint.
"Is Joseph named after a
saint?"
"Yes!" said Mary's
mother.
"Is my name a holy
name?"
"Yes, your name is -named
after Jesus' mother and
Joseph's name is named
after Jesus' dad, said
Mary's mother.
"Thank you for telling
me,' -said Mary politly.
"Go to bed now," said
mother.

Under the
mistletoe
By Joanne Bridle
Grad* 5

Under the mistletoe, what a
sight!
Mom and Santa are kissing
tonight.
Santa gives a kiss. Mom
'gives a hug.
They thought I was in bed all
snug.
He gave me some wonderful
toys.
And many things for girls
and boys.
Dad came out and saw them
there.
He was even crosser than a
bear.
He was mad and yelled
"Santa Claus,
You've really got a lot of
flaws!"
The worst thing of all
happened ... I don't know
how to tell you this but the
North Pole government told
me they had to build a sub-
way through my workshop
because it was thelest place
to put it.
You see children it is im-
possible for me to deliver
the gifts this year. Next year
I'll try and have a replace-
ment.
Yours truly;
P.S. I hope you have a Merry
Christmas.

Christmas means alot to
me because baby Jesus was
born. I really love him and I
would like to see him but he
died. I will never have any
other best friend except God
and Jesus. The baby Jesus
was born in Bethelem.
