The Zurich Buckeyes after
a slow start seemed to have.

regained the form which has
taken them to South Huron
Hockey League titles.
The Buckeyes scored a
total of 20 goals in victories
over the Centralia College of
Agricultural Technology
Saints and the Goderich
Plyers.
On Sunday Zurich scored a
10-6 victory over the Flyers
with John Graham picking
up a pair of goals.
The Flyers outscored
Zurich 3-1 in the first period
but . the home squad came
back to dominate the game.
Scoring the only Buckeye
goal of the first frame was
Mike Clarke who fired a
hard shot past Goderich
goalie Percy Bedard.
The second period saw the
Bucks strike for seven goals
with Gerald Weido beginning
the barrage with five
minutes elapsed in the
period. Clarke assisted.

week with a victory over the
CCAT Saints and a defeat at
the hands of the Parkhill
Merchants.

Flyers which eluded Zurich
goalie Juergen Hellmann the
home squad scored another
three goals in the final five
minutes of the period.
Registering goals were Al
Wilbee, Glen Nicholson and
Kris Bedard. Kerry Bedard,
Nicholson and - Bedour had
assists.
In the final stanza the
teams scored two goals each
with the Zurich scores com-
ing from Bedour and
Graham. Ron Rader, Kerry
Bedard and Kris Bedard had
the assists.
On Tuesday, the Buckeyes
had an easy time as they
clobbered the CCAT Saints
10-3. --
Leading the way for
Zurich was Kerry Bedard
who picked up four goals.
The other Zurich goals were
scored by Jeff O'Brien, Mar-
vin Merner, Graham; Pat
Bedard, Jim Murray and
Clarke.
The Buckeyes next game
is Sunday when they take on
the Forest Boyds.
The front office of the
Buckeyes has undergone a
shake-up with Herb
Turkheim and Isidore
Laporte returning to the
coaching ranks ' replacing
Bob Farquhar. It was this
combination which lead the
Buckeyes to the SHHL title a
few years ago. Managing the
squad is Jerry. Rader, Elroy
Desjardine is - secretary -
treasurer and Carl
Finkbeiner is the team's
trainer.
