Riddell and former
political foe Anson McKinley
disagreed on whether large
users of hydro should receive
hydro at a cheaper price
compared to other users.
As a result of input
provided the political parties
and other groups, plans for
the construction of a
generating plant at St.
Joseph have been stopped.
He said if the plant would
have been constructed the
area's white bean industry
would have been destroyed.
Riddell agreed with Bob
Fisher that small
businessmen should be
provided with greater in-
centives such as a tax break.
In another query by.
Fisher, Riddell expressed
doubt that the province
would become involved in
the day to day Operation of
municipal recreation.

Again, both of these gentlemen have to a lot to give
to the township and hopefully they will make con-
tributions to the township through other avenues.
One of the most active persons Monday night was
Zurich reeve Fred Haberer whose candidacy for Huron
County Warden has been made that mudh more dif-
ficult by the elections.
Now that the political dust has settled,Haberer can
determine the persons he must see as he attempts to
become the first Warden front Zurich.
Fred -is a good man and would serve both Zurich and
the county well if he was elected to the top county job.
We'll all know December 9.
Thank You
to the electorate of Zurich for your
support at the polls. It was sincerely
appreciated. Special thanks to Jeff
and Randy. -
