Children entertained
The youth of St.` Peter's
Lutheran Church en-
tertained the Sunday school
children at a Hallowe'en
party last Thursday.
Many children had a lot of
fun at the Hallowe'en Girl
Guide party on Wednesday
also bringing with them,
their younger sisters or
brothers.

A bus load full from Exeter
and Zurich went to Kitchener
on Sunday and were taped
for a T.V. show `Polka
Time" which is shown on
channel 13 every Sunday at
6:30, So be watching for our
group to appear in the near
future. -

years for Tony being a

church in Goderich followed

the Legion Hall.

Fourteen girls have been
meeting together for the past
four weeks doing 4-H work
with leader Joyce Kirk,
theme being "Food for
Friends '. Their
achievement day is this
Saturday November 8 in
Crediton at 9:15 a.m. to be
held at Stephen Central
Public school. Everyone

Thursday to Monday visiting
at the convent with her
sister, Sister Anne and other

the annual young bird show
exhibition on Saturday held
at the John McCrae Legion
hall in Guelph.

jr. all enjoyed themselves at
the musician's union
banquet at the Victorian Inn
in Stratford on Sunday. •
Harold and Doreen
Dietrich spent a couple
week's holidays going to
such places as Elgin, Illinois,
Chicago to visit for • a few
days with her brother,
Leonard , Sopha and son Tim
and family. They then
travelled to Oshawa,
Toronto and Kitchener for a
week along with Austin and
Veronica Hartman of
Goderich. •
Mrs. Edith Hohner and
Mrs. Ina NBeb went to St.
Marys last Monday and
Tuesday and were delegates
at a convention for the
women's Institute.

Darin who moved on Sat-
turday into the apartment at
the east end of town near Dr.
Wallace's office. Also
welcome to Clarence and
Gladys Schad ` who have
moved into the ormer home
of Mrs. Fern Des jardine on

Learn about fire prevention
The Golden agers had a
real good meeting last
Monday with a full house in
attendance. Guest speaker
for the evening was Murray
Craig, speaking on the
preventions of fire in the
home, and what to do in case
of a fire. This was followed
bya few games of cards and
a delicious lunch. The
members are invited to a
senior citizens meeting in
Bayfield on . Thursday
November 13 at 7:30. People
who would like a ride are to
meet at the town hall.
A penny sale
Everyone is invited to a
penny sale on Monday
November 10 at St. Peter's
